Michael Rueter and Bertram Lange visited the Cleanpower 2023 Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans.
In addition to meetings with the USE61400-25 members SCADA International and Phoenix Contact, owners and operators were also specifically informed about the IEC 61400-25 standard.
In all discussions we reported on the planned cooperation with the OPC Foundation and other partners to create an information model based on the OPC-UA  companion specification.
The aim is to create an information model to use for various energy recurrences.
This project was very much welcomed, as a uniform communication connection to hybrid energy generation systems was demanded in all discussions.

We also had very successful meetings with representatives from ARESCA (American Renewable Energy Standards and Certification Association).
ARESCA has largely adopted the IEC 61400 standards for the American Standards, including the IEC 61400-25 series.
Here, too, we received very positive feedback regarding the establishment of the JWG for OPC-UA standards.
Based on the conversations we can summarize, there is still a lot to do but we are on the right track.
